Objectives:Reducing emissions from deforestation and increasing carbon sequestration in degraded ecosystems through promoting model of sustainable biofuel production:

•  Develop novel policy options that use both regulatory and market incentives to reward sustainable biofuel producers and purchasers. A coalition of biofuel producer and consumer countries that agree on common criteria, as well as mechanisms to ensure their adoption will be created.

Practical field demonstration: develop comprehensive and standardized methodologies needed for evaluating the social and environmental impacts of different types of feedstocks that are adaptable to a wide range of conditions
